This laptop is on a domain so the login screen is the old style with User Name, Password, & Computer fields. But I have to tell you that the access denied problem might have been that you were probably entering the command incorrectly. You just saved me few hours that I dont have. To istall any program or update the account you are logging in with MUST HAVE admin privilege.
