Windows 7 Network Issue (involves Ubuntu 11.10)
Ubuntu 10.4 Lucid Netbook Edition Note: Wireless worked fine out of the box. To resolve this issue: sudo apt-get install pavucontrol pavucontrolClick the "input devices" tab. I'll have my system specs in a post below since I have to post in Ubuntu and have to switch... Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . navigate here
See http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=9209315 for a workaround. I have read people having difficulties with the UEFI BIOS but never internet speeds. I'm not seeing any power management issues related to excessive CPU wakeups. Some users question whether UNR should be used with relatively large 12" screen (1280x800 resolution).

The system will suggest doing it after installing. Wireless will be functional, and remains functional after subsequent restarts. sound works, camera works, WLAN works. On host machine's network adapter settings, re-check that "VirtualBox Host-Only Network" has DHCP, all other settings are set to automatic. 3.

For edge scrolling, see post 4: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1470975 Microphone doesn't work out of the box. I have read the post here and tried the solutions presented and none have worked.
I suggest you check if there are newer drivers available for your NIC. I don't really know what would cause this, but as a lot of people are reporting success with this I want it mentioned. Not tested: Audio recording. I also tried changing the password and showed success but I could not log in with that password. 11.10 share|improve this question edited Jul 12 '12 at 2:32 Eliah Kagan 59.9k17171267

Skype knows this builtin webcam and you can use this one for your skype video chats. No problems. Now reboot. Also a so called "Optimus" Mode (meaning both chips are available via lspci) is available but the "Hot-Switching" between both chips is currently not possible. Now this may get rather verbose and long, but I did this so it can be understand by anyone even us noobs or at least semi noobs.
