The messages are coming in through Windows Messenger and you can disable WM by downloading and running Shoot the Messenger (http://www.grc.com/stm/shootthemessenger.htm). I was unable to update the software and tried everything before. It reported that I had: 83351 clean files, 17 infected, 298 repaired and 15 deleted. ive been trying to remove malware from my comp that alerts me with fake viruses and wants me to buy some "winiguard" program and it disabled all other virus removal tools. I think I have a variant of the Windowsclick trojan because when I did a root kit scan, I got some suspicious files. This is because of Power Supply? The main virus reported was the w32/Pate.

The install of the fix.ini went well, the reboot ok, I was able to install malwarebytes and it is currently scanning…but concerned it is still going to close. Next, open Malwarebytes Anti-Malware folder. i could install most the security programs but it seems like most of em need to be downloaded upon install now like a download manager… the last 2 jobs i did Now on boot I don't even get the BIOS screen or a bluescreen warning anymore!
