This is what woke up my computer and solved my audio problems!! So I ran devmgmt.msc, updated my AMD High Definition Audio Device driver, and uninstalled a "Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221" driver (no update was available). I then changed the default device to the built in speakers. didn't touch any hardware before/after reboot. I have Windows 8 on my laptop as I didn't trust to put the free upgrade of Windows 10 on my laptop and it turns out I made the right decision.

The audio drivers are generic unless you have a specialty sound card. BUT YOU NEED YOUR DRIVERS TO BE IN YOUR HDD, AND CLICK NEXT AND YOU WILL SEE ONE WINDOWS AND WILL ASK YOU ABOUT cm6 something like that and than go The audio is playing via audio output jack but not from the speakers.

Whatever I plug in (speakers or earphones) in the audio socket it doesn't work but if I plugin usb earphones it works perfectly.
