I was fixing it remotely which made it more annoying too.I was sure it must be a rootkit since system restore didn't solve the problem. Too often there are many windows open and I want to close all of them except the first one I opened. But only when connected to the internet. It kept talking about "C:\Program Files\scvhostsvchost.exe trying to access the system and or dial out!I used Windows Explorer to look (my normal setting is to see hidden files).
