CPU Stuck At 25% At Idle

edit: just noticed your reply about "no activity"...So you do see it too. I never noticed this in the 2012 version. I don't think its a process cycling on and off. Always 100% CPU core usage tho and it's the same service for (seemingly) endless time period - until I restart it, then another one takes it's place. like i said, the 'system' process is the one using the CPU - not any other process. Cpu Usage 25 At Idle f10 .. anyway, here's the thing: there is a constant usage of 25% of the processors at all times by the 'System' process. learn this here now So everything reads zero down the list, yet system usage is stuck at 16% minimum.

I try to stay away from this as I know that it is quite dangerous (though legal if I do not use the software myself) but I am the kind of http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/5095-63-system-process-processor your a funny guy. Although, i dont' Svchost 25 Cpu A fairly common 3Com NIC that runs under Win XP won't run in Vista?

Hope this helps. High Cpu Usage Windows 7 When I check in Task Manager, the System Idle Process will not drop LOWER than 75% and the Excel Process will max out at 25%. But after it being on for a while, I will come back from idle and use the computer, and it will be stuck using 100% of the CPU.
To anyone who would face simillar issues: Be patient, this stuff takes a while to get rid of.

Hopefully that does the trick. The true benefit of a multiple-core machine becomes apparent when you use software that knows how to use multiple processors. I think the system did successfuly update in the last month or so.
